Growing up, I was taught that every achievement begins with a decision to try. Lately, I have been hearing some birds chirping. Singing a negative tune that educators shouldn’t be paid their same salary if we decide to educate virtually. Anger was my first emotion, but then I remembered this. Emotional connections are what keep educators in the profession. We react to formal and informal data everyday. We react to more emotions than my 1993 diary. As a educator, it’s my responsibility to enlighten myself and change my mindset to react fearlessly to the ill-advised tweets towards educators in 2020. Feeling negative is a normal reflex currently, but overcoming the flying doubts is a sign of inner strength. Whatever birds. We got this 💛.
